1. Please tell us the name of your firm, title, and describe your role in one sentence.  I work at Bloomberg and do Electronic Trading.

2. What are your fundraising and athletic goals for The Decathlon, and what led you to choose them? As I'm new to the United States -- I'm from London -- I've yet to build up a network of friends, so at the moment I'm aiming to raise $3k. As for athletic goals, I would love to finish in the top half. I know these other competitors are really fit and on top of their game, so to be up there with them would be a goal for me.

3. On average, a Decathlete receives donations from 34 supporters. What fundraising technique(s) have worked best for you that you would recommend to first-time participants?  As a first time participant myself, that's a good question!  I'm using various strategies: I've been contacting family, clients and colleagues. I find it a people process -- using personal contact and speaking about the cause is effective, and also sharing what and how I'm training for the event. I try to give a personal edge when asking people to donate.

4. Most Decathletes have participated in mud runs, 5k’s, and triathlons. What differentiates The Wall Street Decathlon experience from those other events? As a first-time participant and outsider, I'm a little intimidated by the event. I'm trying to train accordingly: I train in the mornings before work, I wake up early and am at the gym by 5am. But it's hard to picture since I've never been to the Decathlon myself.

5. What are you looking forward to most about your first Decathlon experience? Seeing and being among all of the other athletes.
