UNBROKEN: Brandon Felice

This a personal cause for me. Fourteen years ago I lost my father to cancer. When he was diagnosed, there were no treatment options available. Since then, thanks to the amazing work by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and the charitable efforts from people like supporters of The D10, successful treatment options for my father's and many other types of cancer are now in place.
It's not just a personal cause--it's a personal challenge.
During my father’s final year, I was on five months’ bed rest with IV medication resulting from a staph infection caused by my third (of six total) reconstructive knee surgeries. My doctors said I was lucky to keep my leg. They told me I would never be able to participate in competitive athletics and general fitness would be severely limited.
Challenge accepted.
Why I compete: The relentless pursuit of a cure.
I firmly believe with a developed approach and a relentless mindset, anything can be achieved. MSK is the relentless pursuit of a cure.
My motivation is to raise funds to battle a disease that affects far too many people. They continue to lead ground-breaking research that delivers results, including developing treatment options for the kidney cancer that took my father's life, and putting stage 4 pediatric cancer patients into remission.
Thank you to everyone who participates in this community. If you're reading this, please consider donating right now. Every dollar matters, every dollar goes directly to Memorial Sloan Kettering, and NO AMOUNT IS TOO SMALL.
